The release version of mumble is not the same as the one you use in the setup page. THis new version uses a certificate to auth to the servers. There i no option to enter a password at all on the server info section.
I have tried installing mumble using my main system running ubuntu 10.04 and using a windows vbox, both show no password field when adding a server.
WHen I do add a server it will not connect to the mumble.alliancesga.com or using the IP address.
Please advise if there is something I can do to allow mumble to work for me.

The current version of Mumble works like this:
When it loads, it wants you to create a certificate.
Click "cancel", or go through the certificate-creation process (whether or not you can just skip the certificate step entirely probably depends on the server you're trying to connect to).
The server window should pop up.
Click "add new"; type in the info for the server you want to connect to.
If the server is password-protected, it will ask you for the password the first time you try to connect to it.
(Edit: The Linux version of the software might not work that way, but the Windows version does. If that doesn't work for you, you might want to try WINEing Mumble rather than using the native version of the client.)

Then I guess I will need to connect to the correct mumber server if I run with the goats again in the future.
